Ah, the Nuclear League... When I was in middle school (before Trivial Pursuit was invented) one of my teachers told my mother at a parent/teacher meeting that he'd never met a kid with a more comprehensive collection of useless facts... and he acknowledged he'd never found any trivia I'd spouted to be wrong. Legacy of being a very prolific reader in the pre-internet years.

That's a pretty remarkable excuse. If I was a teacher, I think I'd give Calvin a pass for originality.

I wonder how often librarians deal with those kind of calls?
