someone told me the other day that u won't see/feel the effects of your consistent workouts for 3-4 weeks... Do u think that's true? I know when I workout I always feel mentally better but I also always feel like I never look different even when others make comments that they can tell. Thoughts?

Depends on numerous factors...Intensity of workouts, nutrition, genetics, sleep...
You can definitely see a difference in 4 weeks if you are consistent.0 -
I watch my calories and go to the gym everyday doing workouts ranging from 25-70 minutes and I also weigh myself afterward. I see significant results of 2-2.5 pounds lost per week. So you do feel and see the effects of consistent workouts.0

I don't think that's true. I felt different after the first lvl of the 30ds. To back it up, I had done my measurements at start, then at the end of lvl 1 and will again at the end of lvl 2 and lvl 3. I was able to tell a pretty big difference just between the start of lvl 1 and lvl 2. My boyfriend has been making comments on how he notices as well. My mom came to visit me last month (just a few weeks into my diet) and she noticed differences then. She isn't coming back again until the end of October which will have been a little over 2 months between visits and I am hoping she is able to tell a real big difference. Not only that but last time I dieted, I lost 35 pounds by just diet and not really much exercising. I bought a couple pairs of new jeans that were a size smaller and then I got preggo with my second son. After having him, I went back to exactly what I was before I lost the weight! So, my starting weight then and my starting weight now were within a couple pounds of each other. With my added exercising (mostly 30ds) this time around and only a loss of 21 pounds so far, I tried those jeans on and they fit even better now than they did back then! I actually have to even wear my belt with them now. To lose the 35 last time, it took me 7 months. Today was my week 7 weigh in for this time around. If you haven't done measurements, I would suggest you do them now and then every so often. Not as often as weighing in every week but maybe every other week or like I am between lvl's. GL!0

it really depends on your intensity and time commitment, as well as nutrition.
for me, after the first week of phase 2 of insanity, i saw crazy results. like suddenly i dropped weight and saw all this muscle definition i never had before! at the same time, though, my diet saw a drastic drop in calorie intake because i committed to stop drinking alcohol... (not forever, mind you, i am canadian, it would be impossible!!)
really, it's different for everyone!0 -

I agree. In the past I could hammer the gym five days a week and see no results whatsoever, but after just a week of 30 Day Shred I saw definition in my legs and arms and my stamina had vastly improved. I wonder whether it is just because 30DS really focuses on form and targeting strength whereas at the gym, without a trainer, maybe I haven't been doing things right.0
