Closing out daily log with calorie deficit

I am on a pretty specific diet regime that has worked well for me over the last 3 months. I have decided to bring my routine over to MFP and find that I can not close out a day without logging the amount of calories they recommend I eat per day.
If there is no way to change this in my settings, there is no reason to use and pay for the app. Any help in changing my settings to make MFP work within my parameters will be greatly appreciated.

You don't need to close out your diary. All it does is show you a nonsense estimation of how your weight will evolve and post a message on your newsfeed.
(that being said, undereating is dangerous, so I wouldn't recommend eating less than 1200 calories for women or 1500 for men unless under specific circumstances such as being monitored by a doctor)2 -
It won't let you close it under 1200 calories because it is not considered healthy. How many calories are you eating a day? How much weight are you losing per week?1

Closing your diary doesn't really do anything. Also, minimum recommended calories for a sedentary adult male is 1500 and 1200 for a sedentary adult female...it won't let you close it if you're undereating minimum calories because it isn't healthy and it is not recommended to eat under those calories unless medically supervised.2

Thanks all, I realize that it won't close out, I didn't realize it doesn't really do much. I'm on a regiment that occasionally keeps my count under the recommended limit.0

I'm a little old lady, and I have to keep calories very low to lose weight, so working with an average of 1,200 calories a day I have lots of days under 1,200 balanced with holidays and special days at over 1,200. I never bothered to "close out" my diary.
You'll be fine.
PS - don't bother to pay for it, the additional points aren't worth it1
