Mobile phone game: offline, brain use, no candies

Basically I'm looking for a phone game that I can play a bit every day if I feel like it. Needs to play offline as well as I'm traveling quite a bit and often don't have phone signal. Preferably something to think about, maybe something like Lemmings (get something over an obstacle course). No candy crush or anything else related to food, and not something that only works when paying for ingame currency.

Looked at a few games:
some brick shooter: not fun on phone
connect dots with pipes? Too easy, and bores me after a few minutes. deleted
I have a solitaire and mahjong game on the phone.
Gosh, there should be something more intelligent and engaging.

Any idea?

Most phone games/apps are online .. require connection to servers . Hard to find locally loaded games nowadays..

Buy personal hand held game console.

Or download emulators on your phone and get the old adventure games. I have done that for years. Anyway Stardew Valley mobile is totally offline and there's a lot to do, no end to it. The Pc version is of course better because of the expansions but the mobile version is still pretty awesome

    I like 2048.
Kind of math-related, very strategy-oriented. I find it pretty addicting.

AlphaBetty. You need to have a decent vocabulary and spell correctly. Only issue is that you only get so many games (5?) if you don't advance to the next one and then you need to wait for it to give you more.

Yes, it accepts cuss words. Just in case you need to know.
