Two recipes that I made last night, to serve as my lunch for this work-week. They are both fantastic!

    Oh, trust me, I don't disagree. These recipes just *happen* to be vegan and GF - I didn't modify them to become so.

    The rice will be a lovely side to some medium-rare bison steaks this week - they are waiting in the fridge for their fate as we speak. :)
  • Those look fantastic. The chickpea one mentiones paprika and cayanne pepper in the spices list. How much of them are used? Isn't indian food really spicey?

    I don't think all Indian food is spicey, although I tend to always get the spicy dishes. I personally like things really hot and spicy. As for this recipe, I did use a lot of the cayenne and I think a lot of cumin (or was it the coriander? - I am not sure which - I might have also used tumeric and forgotten to list it). Anyways, the cayenne and cumin/coriander/tumeric are the two spices I used the most of, with just some of the rest shown in the recipe. You can always adjust the spices up or down, or eliminate any of them, or even add in any others, to your liking.
