I have a Polar FT4 I got off Amazon for $60 with free shipping. Love it, no problems. Just make sure whatever you get has a chest strap. Good luck!

I've heard that Polar ft4 and ft7 are really good. I didn't get one , just yet, but I know a Polar FT 4 at Target is 99$.

I got a used New Balance N4 off ebay for $42 shipped. Just get one with a chest strap, they are significantly more reliable.

I use this one too, and it's fantastic!
  • I bought a New Balance watch that monitors heart rate and counts calories..paid about $50 for it at Target. Not totally sure how accurate the calorie count is, but it seems like the more often you check your pulse the better the calorie count (sometimes I don't check my pulse while I'm exercising, and it may only say 15 calories after running for 15 minutes..which I know is not right). Its also hard to check your pulse if your wrist is really sweaty.

Don't know if that'll help you, I like it but sometimes it gets annoying. I just know that some other brands are WAY more expensive
