The more I move the more I need to eat!
If I eat too little I lose concentration and my mood gets very irritable.
Is this just me ? Also I can’t eat too much fruit as it makes my mouth sore and I get ulcers or sores in my mouth?? I’m fine with vegetables.

You're supposed to eat more when you exercise. MFP is designed for you to eat your exercise calories back (or at least a reasonable estimate of them) as your activity level doesn't include exercise and is thus unaccounted for in your calorie target. It is also helpful to maintain a reasonably moderate calorie deficit and not go too aggressive.3

Yes you do - that's how calorie counting works.
You might find that the kind of exercise and the intensity of your exercise has very different impacts on your hunger. For me strength training or short duration very intense cardio results in relatively higher hunger levels compared to the actual modest calorie burns.
Low to moderate cardio (even very long duration with high calorie burns) causes relatively little increase in hunger.
"Not losing weight" - over what timescale? How complete and accurate is your calorie counting?

I seem to struggle to get below 13 stone.
I have been trying to lose weight for a few years.
I will try the advice to do longer less high impact workouts.
I had wondered if stress was somehow making me retain weight on my tummy. I do have higher prolactin levels although these are lowered on medication.
I am most prob just making excuses but it just seems so hard to lose this weight.
I have stopped eating past 6pm, managing to sleep well and no fizzy drinks or alcohol. So it must be my food intake where I am going wrong.0 -
weight and bmi are just numbers. I eat more when i work out too, but depending on what types of exercise your doing its possible to gain muscle and lose body fat making the composition of the body healthier. We obsess over weight often. I used to get in trouble with the wife, shed get upset with her weight and try every diet out there, get very moody and angry. Its about finding a way of eating we can be happy and comfortable with and sustain for life. I've been at this weight for a long time but look very different with weight training and exercise at the same weight. I stress much less looking and feeling good than at a certain number. just some thoughts.0

Sadly it is the boring part (eating a bit less) that is far, far more significant than the fun part (exercise) when it comes to losing weight.
Exercise can certainly help with giving you a bigger allowance to play with (plus the health benefits of course) but as you have a couple of stone to lose it simply is finding a way to eat a bit less over an extended period of time that will get you where you want to be.
(BTW - simple isn't the same as easy!)
Personal experience is that everyday deficits killed my motivation but switching to erratic deficits with most days at maintenance was a complete game changer. Hope you find your key to success.2
