Looking at the entry for Lundberg Brown Jasmine vs Jasmine white rice the carbs are different. Is this correct? It says 34 carbs for 1/2 cup brown jasmine and 24 carbs for white jasmine.

This sounds reasonable to me.0 -
Yes, brown has more than white because Brown rice has complex carbs (the whole rice grain) which are better for you.0

Theoretically speaking, yes. Since brown rice still has most of the hull still in tact to the grain itself, it has more overall nutrients than stripped-down conventional white rice. That includes more fiber and more carbs in brown rice in lieu of white rice.0

According to the Lundberg product website: White long grain jasmine rice 1/4c dry has 36g carbs (1g Fiber), http://www.lundberg.com/products/rice/Organic_California_White_Jasmine_Rice.aspx
and the long grain brown rice, 1/4c dry has 35g Carbs (3g fiber)

I'm not looking at the packages but cooked long grain brown rice has 45g Carbs per 195g serving. http://nutritiondata.self.com/facts/cereal-grains-and-pasta/5707/2
cooked long grain white rice has 45g carbs per 158g serving.

So it would seem from this data that brown rice has fewer carbs per gram than white rice, but it could depend on what is added. Brown rice is considered a whole grain and has 4 times the fiber of white rice (which is significantly refined).
Go for the unrefined option regardless of carbohydrate content.0
