Well, daughter has reminded me I don’t need to bring any clothes. “You know we’re the same size now, mom. Just bring underwear.”
OMG. 😮33 -

In a small student sized backpack I have painting clothes, two sets of workout gear, jammies, a dress and five changes of clothes, including jeans and shorts and a jacket, since it gets chill there in the evenings.
There’s plenty of room left over in the backpack for the Nutter Butters and Samoas she asked me to bring. My checked bag is full of painting and moving supplies, and gifts.
In the old days, larger clothes would have taken up the entire checked bag.
I keep reviewing my list because, surely, I’ve forgotten something. It doesn’t seem normal to be able to get by with a backpack.
I love this! How awesome that you're carrying a "lighter load" in more ways than one!!!
My younger sister always manages to pack in the smallest possible suitcase. I always "wonder" how she does it - I'm a minimalist packer and she's not, but my suitcase is always bigger! In reality - I know why - she's tiny and I'm not. But I'll get there someday!21 -
I have had a shift of mindset. I was picking up my new, smaller sized clothes thinking “That will never fit” but this morning I picked up a pair of my older pants and was thinking “that is too big. It will never fit” Somehow my brain accepted my new size of clothes as actually belonging to me! 😀😀😀26

Congratulations of moving towards getting past the dysmorphia of the new you!
I have that sometimes. I had it happen on Tuesday. I've been shopping for some "vintage retro" clothes for a funky wedding I'm going to soon. I already had the perfect shirt, but my funky pants don't really fit their theme. I can just wear a pair of slacks because... I never do that.... Anyway, one thing I've noticed about shopping for this kind of thing is that I sometimes have better luck if I wander to the women's section of the thrift shop. I've been accumulating funky clothes for some festivals I attend most years.
I found the perfect pair of pants. But the fitting rooms are closed. It's a woman's size, so I have no idea if it would have fit. Plus, with all the vanity sizing - no way to tell without trying it on. I also noticed the tiny tiny pockets. I put it back on the rack. I still wonder if maybe it would have fit. I thought, "No; too small." Then I thought, "You don't even realize how small your clothes have gotten lately." I suppose I could go back. I bet they'll still be there tomorrow or over the weekend. I can bring a tape measure and get a good idea because I know what they should MEASURE.11 -

My NSV is I wore a necklace today, and it looked GOOD!! I've always avoided necklaces because my neck is short and they looked/felt terrible on me. But today I fished out one that someone gave me, put it on, and rocked it! Having a slimmer neck makes a huge difference.21

It's been almost a month since I joined a gym and people are already complimenting me on my 'weight loss'. Actually, the weight is still 80 kgs but my arms are slimmer and waist is more defined and i also feel that my belly is flatter! My double chin is also reducing and my jawline is looking sharper.19

My husband received his salary bonus this month, so he gave me some money from it as a late Birthday gift. I rarely buy myself new clothes, so ordered a couple of new items online. When they arrived I was astounded to find that they were on the large side!! So I went into the bottom of my closet and found the charity shop / goodwill bag of 'far too small' clothes that has been hanging out in there for about 4 years, because I keep forgetting to take the darned thing to the charity shop. Well wouldn't you know . .. they now fit great! 🥳🥳🥳👍
I feel a bit guilty for shopping in my own charity donation bag, becuase now the charity won't be getting them, but I have a 'new' wardrobe of clothes again, clothes I know I already love, for the first time in years! lol! 😖
Once I definitely can't get away with wearing the ones that are a little too large (I have more weight to lose), the charity will get those instead! haha! 🤪😂23 -
I shrunk out of my swim capris. So, I ordered a replacement pair in large on Amazon and they fit a little too loose, but the last ones I bought in December are a 2x. 😀 I went to the store and bought a bikini top to replace the tankini top I shrunk out of!
Kind of a weird one… I kept kind of slipping/tripping at Target today. Not falling, but a little bit unsteady on my feet. My husband was like “ do you want the cart to help you keep your balance?”
I was really perplexed… apparently my feet have shrunk because my sandals needed the straps moved down a size. They are just suddenly way too big. 🤷🏻♀️24 -
Recently I wrote down my new measurements and compared them to my starting point ones and it was eye-opening. So today I was feeling slimmer so I tried on some old jeans. One pair I couldn't get all the way over my legs because my calves are too thick 😂 so that was a bust. But the other pair in the same size with wider legs I could close!!! It's been so long since I could fit into a W34 and even if these run large, this is huge. I can't wear them out because I have extreme muffin top in these. I don't mind my rolls showing a bit above my waist but this was extreme. Still, they closed!!!
I think come autumn I should have a bunch of old-new clothes to wear. Very exciting!
Also, I took a pic in new summer PJs that show a lot of leg and my sister, who never mentions my weight or appearance (which is good), told me I looked really great. It was so surprising but I guess the difference must be showing for real now. It's easy to look slimmer in clothes but now my bare legs look smaller too.15 -
My waist was 40.5 inches on June 9 and on July 7 it was 38.5 inches. I've lost two inches off my waist in a month!! One inch off my shoulder, an inch off my thighs and upper abs too!! But i gained 1.5 inches on lower abs and hips as it's TOM. Oh yeah i can touch my toes with my knees straight17

I had an early appointment yesterday and didn’t have time for my exercise. Instead of just writing it off - I actually WANTED to get it in and made it happen in the evening.
This is extremely new to me. I used to be quick to blow off exercise and then blame the situation and not myself.
These new habits I have been working so hard to establish are starting to become natural. 😀😀😀19 -
On Tuesday, I got my cardiologist to say, "make sure you're getting at least 2,000mg of sodium." Any day I can make a heart doc tell me to get more sodium is a win hahaha.15

Two NSVs to report:
1) I think I found a sustainable way of eating that should see me through goal, and
2) Had my first session of Iron Therapy (strength training) yesterday after a nearly two-year hiatus (though I'll need to take a few days before I give it another go... hello DOMS!). This is kind of an NSV+, as I originally intended to wait until I lost around 40 pounds before starting, but thought about it and realized that most people don't watch/judge others in the weight room... or at least watch AND judge -- I suppose some watching is inevitable to a point in a room with a bunch of mirrors.
... and I suppose I have a third one to report as well. I decided to try to figure things out and work on my physical health despite my mental health being in a not-great place. No more using that excuse to avoid at least the simpler/easier aspects of improving or at least maintaining what physical health I do have.16 -
So, I HATE underwrite bras, I'm probably wearing the wrong size, but they either 'float' on me or cut in to me. Anyway, because of that I tend to wear bralettes or sports bras. This morning on a walk, I noticed my bralette stayed in place! Usually the bottom band over my stomach bunches and rides up.15

Same. Waiting for this day.
My NSV today, 10.5” lost since I measured three weeks ago!

I can now go another notch down on my belt. One notch away from my belt being the tightest it can go. After that, I'll buy myself a nice belt instead of a cheap one off Amazon.15

The face of my cardiologist when she looked at lab results all in normal range.... even cholesterol....and I said, "you can't make me give up my 1 slice of bacon a day...."17 -

I am exactly the opposite and love underwire bras. For me, they are more supportive and provide better shape (no, I don't mean the padded 'tshirt bras' just the regular ones). Anyway, I had given up wearing them the last few several years because they no longer fit right and were extremely uncomfortable, wires cut in under my boobs or floated, etc. As I lost weight & my soft cup bras were no longer fitting I got out some underwire bras I had packed away (these were expensive bras, nearly new & I always had hope that one day I could wear them again). Not only did some of the larger sizes fit but they were very comfortable & supportive. I'm back to underwires all the time now & have even bought a few new ones, not expensive ones as I still have some more to lose.11 -
My 15th wedding anniversary was last week. I got an elliptical yesterday for my gift and I have a DB method machine coming next week that I’m super excited about.
The NSV here is that I have become a person who gets up at 7am and works out. The NSV is that no one is expecting me to use the new additions to our home gym as a coat rack because I use everything else back there every day. 💪 Just keep going.22 -
My waist is 33.8 inches, which makes my waist to height ratio roughly 0.48. That's in the upper end of healthy!18

I was wearing size 46 pants in Oct 2020. Now I'm wearing 32's. Decided to get a new pair of pants and just amazed they fit with some room to spare. Big NSV!27

A belt that had gotten way too small, and wouldn’t even meet around my middle, fit perfectly at the weekend. It’s a good job too as it held my jeans up, which I’ve only recently fit back into, but which have now become a bit too loose around the waist. I absolutely love going shopping in my wardrobe and rediscovering old favourites ❤️20

I was able to paint my toe nails! Haven't been able to bend over my belly to reach them for a while now. I was in the shower yesterday and noticed how much my "over hang" has shrunk. I still don't see it in the mirror but it's definitely smaller I felt my hipbones while lying in bed yesterday too.29

I have a bathrobe which used to look obscene as it barely covered by bum and thighs due to my wide hips and waist . Now i can wrap that same bathrobe comfortably and it reaches till above my knees18
