Hello. My name is Mike. Started my program Feb 23rd. Dr. Put me on low dose phentermine and topamax at night. Started 6ft tall, male, 67 yrs old, 267 lbs. Felt miserable. Sob all the time. Back pain. Couldnt even take a shower without getting sob and feeling like I was going to pass out. Dr. put me on 1500 calorie diet with 90-120 gms protein each day and less than 120 gms of carbs. Today, after 4 months, I am down to 232.6 lbs. I have lost 34.4 lbs and am feeling so much better. I am so motivated to continue to my goal of 190 lbs. No fried foods for me and no more cokes. Only an occasional small bag of popcorn and small coke zero at the movies. Dr. said I have to live a life I can sustain and I can do this. For those who think they cant do this, if a 67 yr old man can do it with very little exercise, you can too. Dont give up. Averaging 1.9 pounds of loss per week.

I can relate. I have had back problems off and on for probably 40 years. I once gained 30 pounds in 6 months while dealing with delay after delay in getting a disc replaced in my neck. It hurt too much to do anything so just spent my time laying on the couch feeling sorry for myself and snacking. I am going to see the Elvis movie this week. I will have the large popcorn, not the small. But I only go to the movie a few times a year, so I will splurge.

Hi Mike, great work! I agree sustainability is key to long term success. I am 2.5 years into my fitness program and surpassed my goals despite a lingering cervical injury and qualifying for senior discounts. Keep after it 👍
