Don't say "I've Lost" say "I got rid of"

Some told me not to say "I've lost _ pounds", but to say "I've gotten rid of _ pounds" or "I've Given away" "I've Left Behind"
Her reasoning was when we say that its like we are telling ourselves we are "looking" for it and we want our brain to not think its missing but we have left it behind on purpose. I thought it was a good little saying that others may enjoy too.

I love positive talking, like "Please close the door quietly" Not "Dont slam the door~" xxx

    Thanks for that... xx

That is a good one!! Saying "lost" is kinda of like telling your brain you want it back! But, "gotten rid" of is so much better!! I think I will share this with my weight loss class tonight!!
