Mason Jar Ring=Perfect Shaped Eggs?

Sometimes I feel like I'm the LAST one to find out ANYTHING ( I'll blame it on my height-haha)
I saw a thing called an egg ring- which can help your eggs retain their shape while cooking.
I also came across a website that suggested a more frugal way- using a wide mouth mason jar lid...
Now THOSE I have..........
I'm planning on making breakfast for dinner.......so gonna try it out.
Anyone else use either?

Do eggs taste better if they are symmetrical?
only kidding! I bet having a nicely shaped egg would be great for english muffin sandwiches. Eat your heart out McD's!

That's EXACTLY my idea- love them on muffins- and maybe 1/2 of it won't stick to the pan.0 -
Hey now, eggs come in all shapes and sizes and should be loved equally0

I used to do this for my kids when they were little - I don't usually bother anymore, but it works perfectly.0
