Are you up before the birds getting your sweat on? Are you moving and grooving at an hour others find excruciating?

Then I’m looking for YOU! <finger pointed>

Let’s start a group for us early morning movers. Come here to share your day’s accomplishments, your struggles, tips and tricks and anything else that comes to your brain before the sun comes up.

For today, let’s find out who gets up the earliest? And why you chose the O’Dark Thirty hour to get your sweat on?

I’m up at 5 everyday. My goal is to be moving by 5:30 at the very latest, sometimes it takes about that long just to get my shoes on. On Tuesdays and Thursdays I work with a personal trainer at 6:30, which is normally the time I would be finishing up. I still get up early on these days to get some protein in me in enough time so I don’t yak when he tries to kill me.

Perhaps you've all gone back to bed. Sigh.

I'm out there running most every morning. I usually hit the road a little before 6 as I have to back by 7:10 to get the kids off to school.

Didn't make it out today but my running usually starts around 4:30-5:00 (depends on distance that day and also what route I take)so I can be back in time to hit the showers and commute into work... I prefer early a.m. running. It just FEELS better and makes the rest of the day so much nicer

It does make the day feel so much better! I like to get it out of the way, and then I can feel accomplished all day.

I am up at 5:30 and usually working out within minutes of that. I feel energized and ready for the day, and I am sharper and more on the ball at work and at home. If I tried to work out after work, I would come up with a million excuses for other things I need to do, being too tired, etc. This way, I get up and get it done and then I start the day knowing whether I can reward myself with a treat at the end of the day, or if I have to keep my diet in check because I had a minimal burn.
