in Getting Started
It's been around a year since I have been on mfp, but the app has changed and I am confused. Can someone tell me how to send a friend request

    it's kinda goofy
    if you're here in the forums, click on their name/avatar and a little pop-up window will have the option to "view profile"
    click that
    then it takes you to another screen - over on the upper righthand side is another button to view the person's profile.
    click that
    that'll take you to their actual profile and there you'll have the option to add friend, send message, etc

    What she said but the link to add the friend is a silhouette with a plus sign over it.

    Don’t bother filling in the message portion. Due to a spate of pornbots last year it so, that function was disabled. Your intended friend can’t see any message you’ve sent til after they’ve accepted your friend request.

    Anything you type there, no matter how meaningful or heartfelt, gets lost in the ether, since you’re not actually friends yet.
