Healthy living as a celebration of life!

Hi, I just started MFP yesterday. I'm excited about it.

My highest weight was 260. I lost 30 pounds a couple years ago, and I've lost 30 pounds since April by going to the gym most days and becoming vegan. I'm at 197 right now.

Fairly recently I had breast cancer and went through treatment for that. That stress caused some major mental health and addiction problems. Now I'm cancer-free, sane(r) ;) and I have six months of sobriety.

I feel very blessed to be healthy today. I'm showing my appreciation for life by taking care of my body because I only have the one! I feel it would be very disrespectful of me (to myself, nature, and whatever higher beings exist) to have had this wake up call and resume my life of sloth, and binge eating and drinking.

I love going to the gym. I keep myself motivated by setting lots of little goals for myself. I enjoy beating my previous personal records.

I hope to meet some MFP friends, especially people that have some sort of philosophical reason for their weight loss/healthy living journey.
