I am in a big dislike with the new changes of no scanner and adding many more pop-ups. I understand you need to make money but this change makes me want to look elsewhere

Same here. Think I will try the Loseit app. Many friends recommend it.0

I think it will be pretty difficult to find free versions of any app that doesn't have a ton of adverts and popups. But I definitely get it. Looking around isn't a bad idea but you're most likely going to find the basic free version of any of these apps is pretty basic and will also contain lots of adds and popups.
I looked at Lose It awhile back and the free version was pretty basic. It looked like you had to have premium to integrate fitness trackers, do in advance meal planning, monitor macro-nutrients, and do other measurements like BF%, blood pressure, etc.0 -
Loseit. Their free version allows you to use the barcode scanner
And it still worked as of five minutes ago1
