I am SO excited. I had my first weigh-in this morning, and I am down 2.5 pounds. My goal was 2 pounds. The feeling of accomplishment is amazing. On top of that, I feel amazing eating healthy every single day, and working out 3-4 times a week.
What's your routine?
I work hard to stay under my calories. I try to always make sure to replace any snack for a real piece of fruit. (100 calorie packs are great backups). Knowing that I can have a morning and afternoon snack keeps me from feeling like I'm keeping something from myself. I almost feel more nourished than I did before. (PS: My boyfriend let me know that we WERE eating between 3,000-4,000 calories a day. CRAZY!)
Also, I work out as often as possible, which works out to be every other day usually. That is a big help in adding calories to your diet, but I still try to stay as far under as I can while eating right.
I have had trouble drinking as much water as I should. This is my goal for the upcoming week.
The biggest push: My family and friends being so supportive. My boyfriend is right there with me every step of the way, helping me understand what I need to be doing. Foods, exercise, etc.
I can't wait to post next week!

Grats on your success!! Support is a huge factor! Im excited bc my boyfriend finally decided to join MFP last night! I was so stoked! lol. He has been watching me on this site for a few weeks now and last night I had him enter things for me and close my diary for the day and he was impressed with how easy it was and made his account. I am hoping he does great with it like I am! Oh BTW here is a list of things you can eat instead of 100 calorie packs that only have 100 calories in case you wanted some variety

I celebrate your victory!!!!
And if you ever start to think a pound isn't that much....try carrying around a pound of sugar for a few minutes. Then try five pounds of it. Then try ten....it really is heavy, even just a pound is heavy.
One time when I was dieting, I had a wagon that I put bags of sugar in equal to what I was losing. Eye opening how heavy it can get! Just think about the fact that our skeletons are carrying that around every day. Wow.0 -
