    Hi, @lakedogs2 Welcome to MFP!

    It’s a calorie counting app, so anything that fits inside of your calorie budget is fine.

    For me, my niche is lots of small scheduled snacks. As long as I have a steady graze set up, I can stay within my calories

    My own afternoon can include several of these:
    * beef jerky if I’m otherwise low on protein
    * cottage cheese with frozen blueberries/blueberry balsamic/tsp of grapenuts
    * a simple smoothie of cottage cheese/Almond milk/peanut butter powder/zero cal chocolate Skinny Syrup/ice
    * a pumpkin spice latte or chai latte made with zero cal syrup and frothed skim milk
    * veggies and zero cal Walden Farm ranch dressing
    * Nugo bar
    * crostini crackers or pretzels and sardine/tomato pate
    * sugar free pumpkin or lemon pudding (mmmmm… happy to provide simple recipe)
    * a particular favorite if I have a few odd extra calories: meringues. Meringues are very satisfying and sweet, yet low calorie.
    * Even a low carb wrap with a few pieces of deli meat can be about 100 calories, depending on how much meat you throw at it.

    My husband prefers a Diet Coke, toast with peanut butter, roasted edamame, and Nugo bars.

    Occasionally if the craving hits, I’ll enjoy a nice piece of chocolate and cut elsewhere.

    It’s like Tetris. Move a little here, a little there, til it all fits together.

    Oh if I have extra calories: air popped popcorn with margarine mixed with a tablespoon of soy sauce or a nice dash of truffle salt

    Very umami and lots more chew for about the same calories as a couple servings of potato chips.

    If you have to have a chip, check out the “popped” chips at Kroger and Lidl. They are quite good and you get a decent pile for 110-120caloroea.

    I also got a Ninja Creami and make homemade ice creams or fruit sorbets daily that are under 100 calories for half a pint. For that, I can well afford a 15 calorie squirt of whipped cream and a gram or two of rainbow sprinkles. 😉

    My afternoon snacks at the office are a Banana and a Clementine. Eaten about two hours apart!

    I usually roast some veggies in the oven in the morning and then take them to work with me. I also bring some Mini Wheats(I count out 1 cup, so 23 pieces. Yes I count them out lol) or some Quest Protein Chips . They are delicious.
