URGENT........ 2 kittens approx 10-12 wks old were dumped on my porch 4 days ago. Starving and scared we put them in a big crate in our garage so we could nurse them back to health while trying to find a shelter to take them. I've called every shelter from chillicothe (sp)? to cleveland and NO-ONE has any openings :-( We would keep them but we just took another stray we've been caring for about 6 weeks now to the vet for shots and tests so we can ween him indoors with our other cats & rabbit. No money left in the stary animal till for these 2 kittens. A man told me on Tuesday he'd take them both but now each time I call him he dodges me. My stomach has been so upset from worry because the only thing I have left to do is to take them to the humane society in Cols on this Friday. When I called they said they would take them but NOT promise me that they won't put them to sleep! These poor kittens have survived terrible circumstances just to be put to their death. I am asking for someone to PLEASE take these kitties and give them the love they deserve. Everyone who knows me well knows that I am a true lover of animals and it is taring me apart to think about taking them to the human society. I reside in Marengo Ohio but will travel to Cols or surrounding areas to deliver kittens to a good home.

Put an ad on Craigslist also. You're more likely to find local people that way.

    This.

I cant believe people actually abandon liters on doorsteps! I thought that was just a thing in movies!
  • I do have it on Craigslist as well. Thanks for the suggestion though :-)

And yes, apparently they do dump animals on porches. We live out in the country so I guess people just assume we'll keep them and let them roam. However, all my cats and rabbits are indoors for it is dangerous out here on the country roads. I've only lived out here for nearly a year as I'm from a big city. I'm mind boggled how many stray animals run loose out in these parts.

call your vet too - they might know of a placement or a foster in the area.

    good luck!
