hi MFP family. i have a question about logging in exercise. the question is how do i log in when i am running around with my 3 yr old playing the racing game? i don't usually log that but i think i am doing myself a disservice that has to be included as some sort of workout. by the time i am done running around after him i am out of breath and tired, that has got to be a workout. just wondering.

  • I tend to guess, honestly. Figure out what speed or walking/running/whatever it's closest to, and give it a go. Rough estimates are better than selling yourself short.

If this is a typical activity for you, you might consider setting your activity level to "active" or "very active" to account for it.
  • If you do this on a daily basis, you could just set your activity level higher
  • That would be hard to log. I suggest investing in a HRM.. I've seen people log walking for 4 hours while walking at a zoo, but didn't take into consideration when they stopped to watch the animals. If I don't wear my HRM I don't log it.

"i think i am doing myself a disservice." I would agree. Great responses in this thread for ya but yeah I would at least estimate or get a pedometer.
