    TNP, as a child, was allowed to open one gift on Christmas Eve - so long as it had been delivered fro 'far away' [ours were gifts from relatives in Florida sent to us in Western New York]

    TNP usually saves up to buy, instead of buying mostly on credit and making installment payments.
