Wagamama - recommendations ?

Off to Wagamama's at lunch - any recommendations ?

I'm switching meals today (ie having a bigger lunch, lighter tea - so will have my chicken salad wrap tonight instead of for lunch).

But I'm interested to know what you tend to opt for when trying to keep it low... I was thinking Prawn Chilli Men ?? I know the sauce is quite low as I've bought the branded stirfry sauce before and it's surprisingly low for what it is (110cals for 100ml). And if I opt for prawns over chicken. The noodles are high, but unavoidable at Wagamamas.

Thoughts ?

Someone else suggested Yaki Soba - is that the dry dish ? Noodles n vegetables n chicken ??? If so, will perhaps stick to the Chill Men as I like it "saucy"... :-p

I just googled and I can't believe that Wagamama doesn't publish nutritional information on their website! If their food is so healthy what have they got to hide?
  • I don't know how accurate it is, but if you go to add something to your lunch diary and search on Wagamama, you can find some calorie counts for various meals.

The Yaki Soba is pretty low-calorie considering how full it makes you!

Yaki Soba is the best bet.

Yakisoba sauce is made with loads of sugar and the noodles are fried in oil so it's not that healthy...Teriyaki, yakitori and curry sauces are also loaded with sugar. The best thing to have is probably the Cha Han as that doesn't have sauce on it.
  • Yaki Soba! I get that every time!
  • I have asked for no noodles before, they look at you a bit strange but if that's what you want they can easily accomodate. Or maybe half the noodles.
    Have a nice time.

I know it's only a starter but the chili squids are scrumptious and I got two portions the other day which was plenty. Total calories 300.
    Have a lovely time :-)

If you Google "Wagamama calories" it gives you a summary of MFP readings - wonder how you get that through the site?

All the soup noodles are relatively low in calories and are VERY filling!
