So, after doing really well after joining this plan my dad had a heart attack last weekend. Hes doing okay, hes a fighter but Ive been in bits and my eating plan has gone out the window for the last few days.

But, I realised that I cant turn to food and now, more than ever is a time to think about my health and what I can do to aviod something like this happening to me - although I have to say my dad is not overweight, a nonsmoker who cyles 90 miles every weekend.

So, Ive stepped onto the scales this morning, a new start and Im determined to do this xx

Hope your dad makes a full recovery. Stress can play complete havoc with our eating plans, but in the long run you have to think about yourself and your future....as you know, it can happen to even the healthiest of people.

Stay strong and I wish your dad a full recovery.

Good luck and best wishes to your dad.

It's often events and times like these that actually give us the kick up the backside we need to be healthy! Good for you! if you want any support, feel free to add me x

Been there... best of luck with your Dad! Family & friends support right now is huge.. go for a walk with someone, talk to people and it'll help take your mind off it or support you. Stress does wreak havoc on our bodies so try and be strong for your Dad and just the fact that you want to be healthy will help in your own journey. Best wishes! You can do it... think of the positive side of the goals when you hit them!

Wow, very sorry to hear about your father, hope he makes a full recovery. As for you, your focus on remaining strong and committed to your own well being is commendable in the face of these events especially. I hope your whole family gets through this and things start looking up for you. :)
