Good morning all,
1st post in about 3-4 years. I journeyed through a 50lb loss in 2017-2018, maintained for about 2 years then COVID hit, and bounced right back over 265lbs. I’m a dude, and am 6’1”. Now I can make excuses, and blame the world, but here I am. This said, I made 3 massive changes over the last 3 months:
1. Quit Alcohol. - 3 months dry
2. Began training daily. - 6 weeks in gym
3. Going to sleep early. - Avg 6hrs a night vs 4
I have not yet fully tackled food logging, this is a work in progress.
After 5 weeks of quitting alcohol, I was sleeping better and had nearly lost all anxiety. The holiday period is going to be tough.
Training daily was only facilitated by going to bed on time, maybe also cause the new gym always has empty squat racks, towel service, and a steam room.
This morning I weighed in 9.9 lbs less than I was approx 8 weeks ago, I am powerlifting again, and I’m treating this as a 12 month journey to maintain, vs a 6 month journey of quick fixes. Well off to the gym and hope to be able to share with you all my trials and tribulations over the next year.
Fell free to add me as a friend, to challenge and keep me honest.
