so i just watched the crossfit games on tv. Now, i play around with crossfit but nobody around here offers it so i base it on their sites print outs. However; upon seeing this i feel compelled to do 3 things: 1. Learn to do a handstand. 2. Handstand pushup/walk. 3. Buy more plates for my barbell because these women just deadlifted 165lbs and i only have 140lbs of plates. Now, as i have a low center of gravity, have never been able to do anything remotely gymnastic, and have concrete floors.....i think this should be fun.

These people are crazy. I think it's a differeny breed of people I really do! One of my friends does crossfit and it's just ridiculous. Don't compare yourself to them!0

Sounds dangerous.
I'm sure there's intros to it that are a little more reasonable though.
Don't break anything.:drinker:0 -
Handstand push-ups are probably the 2nd hardest thing in CF. I think only the Muscle-up is harder. I used to dabble in CF and could do a couple hspu's but never a muscle-up. Good luck to you!0

I agree! One of my best friends is a crossfit junkie and yeah she is ripped, but right now she is also currently laid up due to knee cartilage and back problems. She's 32. I think it is something that may be good to import into a workout, like the interval stuff, but since my current upper body fitness level is approximately that of a 12 year old boy (and a sickly one at that), there are no handstands for me at this point unless I'm in the pool.0

My trainer watched that the other night, and decided to become inspired . . . man have I been sore since!0

thanks guys! The way i see it is if i start with something hard, everything else is easier by comparison. And i like to think; i will never get any stronger than the weakest thing i aspire to be. Worst case? I bonk my head a few times. Which is nothing new to me, haha0
