We are a long-term group who support each other through life and the scale. Please join us in January for an accountability month as we start a new year together! You are welcome to join throughout the month, it's never too late to jump in and get to know us.
Most people utilize the thread for weigh-ins, you may weigh in daily or weekly; do what works for you. If your goals are to drink more water, gain muscle, reduce fat, increase strength or cardio, etc, feel free to join us and track those items as well.
We are an encouraging group challenging and supporting each other's efforts to stay on track with our personal goals.
Bookmark the thread below and feel free to join in at any time during the month for any purpose. Bookmark the link below; it will bring you directly to the last page you posted on, to make it easier for you to find us.

My name is Liz and I’m 38. I’m restarting after a rough end to last year. This is the heaviest I’ve ever been.
Goals:
Get to 220 lb
Eat more salads and veggies
Limit takeout
Walk 10k every day
Workout to start with 2-3 times a week
Drink more water, less alcohol
Not be so hard on myself - it’s ok to make mistakes as long as I keep trying.

Hello! I'm Kelli. I'm 47 and want to get back on my health journey after the holidays. First goal is to lose the 6 lbs I gained back during the holidays. Also be better with my water intake. I do 2 martial arts classes a week (about 60 to 90 minutes long) and plan to add 1 more day of exercise at home.

Hello, my name.is Eileen, and I'm trying to get back on the weight-loss journey. I currently run about 3 times a week, and want to incorporate more exercise into my daily routine. Looking to lose 5 lbs in January by watching what I eat, and how much I eat. I have a 5k planned for February, and would like to do another 10k.3

I used to run 3 miles daily, but that was before 2 foot breaks (2015 and 2016), round of breast cancer/radiation in 2016, 2 leg breaks (2017 and 2022), neck surgery 2020, and hysterectomy 2021. Geesh, the 50s have done a number on my body! I'm s.l.o.w.l.y getting back into running. Each week I'll add 1 minute to the run portion of my walk (3 runs per week). So the last week of 2023 I'll be at 52 solid run minutes. I tend to push too hard and pull a muscle so keep me honest and don't let me progress too fast!1 -

Finally remembered to bookmark this discussion so I'm not searching for it for 30 minutes. Did 2 martial arts classes this week...and I'm so sore! I usually have choir rehearsal on Wednesday evenings, but there wasn't one due to the holidays so I decided to do an extra martial arts class. 🙃 Went to the grocery store and bought some healthy stuff...steel cut oats, low carb tortillas, etc. Thank goodness for all of thr coupons for the healthy foods at this time of the year!1 -
