anyone else already annoyed with the biggest loser before it even starts???
i do not think anna kournakova is an appropriate trainer for these people....she hasnt trained anyone, she is an athlete and has been fit her whole life...she does not deserve this chance and i think they are doing the contestants a disservice by having her on....at least the other guy they brought on is a celebrity trainer...she is a tennis player...commmmeeee onnnnnnnnnn.....

agreed. I was pissed when they first said that Ana was going to be one of the trainers. she's never been super-obese. she's not an addict. she has never had to face that. a fact that, i'm sure, is wonderful for her; but how does that qualify her??? Where's her PhD in psych? where's her journey that will make her able to relate?? I don't know enough about the new guy to say either way, but hiring Ana pissed me off.

I totally agree with that. I can't believe they would replace Jillian with her!!! I will watch cause I love Bob but not so sure about Anna!

Yea i am annoyed about it and i at least they are going to have the celebrity trainer and bob harper will be on there . I never did understand why anna kournakova would be a trainer on the show .
I love the show though and i am looking forward to watching it !
  • her forehead really distracts me
  • Well athletes are obviously knowledgeable about fitness; their whole careers revolve around it. I think it's too early to tell how she will do and a little unfair to say "well she's just a tennis player."

So am I right in saying that nobody is giving her a chance?
Don't get me wrong, I'm not so sure she'll be good, but I will still watch and am curious how she approaches everything. To those that spoke of "past experiences" helping trainers train on BL, what about Bob? (haha). But seriously - was he overweight/unhealthy before training... or did I miss something?

She could surprise you. Don't write her off before she even starts! I don't think it matters if you were ever super obese or not. I think what matters is that you have an understanding of others, a compassion, an empathy and a drive that others will catch when they are around you. She may have that.

I personally want to see Chris Powell on there :)

to clarify, i am going to still watch this season...i'm going to "give her a chance", i just dont understand their reasoning behind hiring her other than T&A.....she's a pretty blonde but has no experience training others...yes she is an athlete and probably knows her own body very well but that does not give her expertise in how to help others lose weight and keep it off....i dont know if bob ever had a problem with his weight like jillian did but i do know he has a proven track record of training people on and off the ranch.....

i just feel, in my opinion, that it was a "poor" choice by the producers to fill jill's shoes with an inexperienced trainer coming off last season with 4 actual trainers versus trainers and athletes...that is all...

i agree not sure about her but we have to give her a chance. And bob was never overweight or unhealthy from what i know. Jillian was the one who was overweight and unhealthy when she was younger. and I cracked up when you said what about bob (love that movie lmao)

I agree she may end up being annoying to watch, but not sure yet if her training style will be good or bad. I'm just wondering why some of you think she shouldn't do it because she's been fit all her life and never overweight. What does that have to do with anything?

Well I love the show and Bob and Jillian Rock.
Let's give her a chance and see what she can do.
I will still watch the show any how. It amazes me
how these people look after weeks of training.

Let's face it, no one can truly replace Jillian and not really sure Ana is the answer, but want to see what her training style is like. Also--LOVE, Love, love Bob Harper. . .and so glad he is still with the show. Am praying the new dude (forgot his name) is not being primed to take his spot. . .has anyone heard rumors? I haven't. . .

I've heard that Ana has an eating disorder history. I'm not worried that this will rear its head in regards to her advice to the contestants; I think it may actually help her be more compassionate (not that any of the old trainers were lacking) towards eating and addictions - because an eating disorder *is*, in my opinion, an illness/type of addiction. She gets what it means to be unhealthy about food.

I think it's the beginning of the end for BL. I don't even watch it anymore but Jillian and Bob seems to have made the show. I think she's physically motivating but I honestly don't think I'll enjoy it. I haven't watched since season 10. I just don't think Anna can sympathize with a person who uses food as their crutch.

Acutally Anna wasn't so bad and the new guy looks like he could whip anyone into shape but we'll have to see more...

I think the new trainers were brought in partly beause they are eye candy. I really think the black guy is hot. He also does seem like a really good trainer.

Anna doesn't seem to have that "oomph" that the guys have, but maybe they did that on purpose because her team is the older crew? IDK....

I'm not sure if I'm going to like her.... I don't know much about her other than she's a tennis player. She doesn't seem very motivating but she does seem to have the compassion. Do we know how well she can teach the contestants about nutrition? I have a feeling thats why her team lost but who knows really.

I wish they would show more of the nutrition side of the weight loss instead of just hitting the gym all the time.

The new guy... I'm not gonna lie, he's got a NICE body! I would like to train with him, he seems to really know how to push and motivate people.

I wish they would have kept the new girl trainer from last season... she was pretty motivating and in-your-face style (I seriously thought she was going to be Jillian's replacement). Although she did annoy me with how much she used the phrase 'i'm a fighter'
  • her forehead really distracts me

    I know right!

I really liked the new show. Dolvett is AWESOME. . . he gets right in there and doesn't baby his team--he's got the 'tude". My favorite has always been, and will always be Bob Harper and he kicked their ARSES in the weigh-in. I agree that Ana doesn't have that motivating personality in the gym :noway: but she does show compasssion for her team.

And Debbie who went home. . .once she ran her mouth, you just knew she was going home. . . .
