Our bodies need rest, definitely don't workout when you're that sick. Working out causes our bodies stress why add more by going out ill. Plus put others health in jeopardy isn't fair.

Listen to your Mother, she KNOWS what she's talking about!:flowerforyou:

No, you should not work out with a fever or if you are light-headed. Drink lots of fluids and rest a couple of days until you feel better. And take some extra vitamin c, you'll feel better faster.

I hear that if you workout REALLY REALLY HARD you can burn the flu right out of your system.

    No, you can't.

Rest and allow your body to heal. And don't expose others to your illness by going to the gym or even outside of your house. Sheesh.

Yes. Light headedness could easily turn to passing out and/or dizziness and you are therefore at risk for injury. Think of it this way, which would you prefer to take 1) 1-2 days off due to the flu or 2) 1-2 months off as you recouperate from an injury. Would be a no brainer for me ;o)

I would be so pissed if someone at the gym was working out with the flu! I don't want your germs!
  • I workout at home can't afford the gym
