Not a newbie but an oldbie 😁

Hello. I need motivation to lose weight. Used MFP a few years back and it helped, then fell off the wagon. Really hope to lose more now that I am older and it is a struggle.

This is the time to do it all again!! I need some extra motivation as well! I'm 51 y/o , live in SW Florida and have a goal to lose 70lbs. I used MFP over ten years ago and lost 65lbs, so I know I can do it. Its just a matter of not giving myself excuses to make bad choices. I've got a whole closet full of beautiful clothes that no longer fit and an ankle bracelet that I'd like to be able to wear again. To be a healthier person will be my Xmas present to myself this year. Feel free to add me!

    Welcome!

You can't rely on motivation. You have to develop and foster habits that will support your moving towards your goals. Like getting up in the morning to go to work or brushing your teeth, you may not be motivated, but you've got to do it. Fitness and weight management are the same.

The good news is that once you turn these into habits and routines, they become easier. They become "what you do." It's not easy at first. You have to stick to it.

Goals are key. Without them you're just wandering. What are your short-term and long-term goals that you're trying to succeed with?
