    Build up more muscle to help with my sports, and work on my speed running. Also to just generally eat healthier!

    I'm not sure how you'll measure your muscle increase.

    You could set some measurable goals for speed increase, like gain 0.2 mph for a 5K run in three months. Or whatever your metric is.

    "Generally eat healthier" is pretty squishy, so I guess that's easy to succeed. Eat one less gram of added sugar this year, and you are done.

    @mtaratoot for sure on the eating healthy! I don’t really have anything specific that I have decided on eating, more maybe pick grilled chicken instead of fried and fruit instead of candy for sweet! Not too worried about measuring muscle gains just want to make sure I am doing the workouts. And your right on with miles it’s all about focusing on my split times.

    Keep sticking to it! You can succeed.

    Do give some thought about setting concrete goals that are tough but attainable and that are measurable. You don't have to share them if you don't want. They will be something you can judge your progress against.

    Put some time into thinking of goals the next week or two. Don't rush that. Maybe the first good goal is "Come up with three specific, measurable, achievable, reasonable, goals to reach within a specific time" by the end of February.
