My nephew came over for a visit and saw an old picture. He said that I looked amazing – “then. He said, “Oh wow you were in your prime!” He went on to say, “You’ve fallen off”. I know that my weight plays a huge part in making me look older. I tried MFP once before and had great success and decided to return. I love the MFP community! I love the accountability and hearing other’s successes and suggestions on how to navigate challenges associated with bad eating habits. So, here I go! My goal is 20 pounds by Mother’s Day. But if I lose 1pound a week that’s about 11 pounds. I will be happy with that.

Hi, and welcome back! I'll look forward to seeing you around the Community.
Sounds like a good, sensible goal! For myself, I like process goals more than outcome goals, i.e., things I totally can control, like logging every day good or bad, getting X amount of moderate exercise Y days a week, and that sort of thing. The right process leads to good results, but the timing and magnitude of those results can be a bit variable sometimes. But that's just me.
Have you settled on a plan to reach your weight goal?
Wishing you much success!
P.S. About that nephew . . . frank sort of a guy, isn't he?0
