I have one every 2nd day

I have a recipe saved called "Smoothie Base." 1/2 cup Greek yoghurt, 1 scoop vanilla protein powder, 1/4 cup Fibre 1 cereal and 1 cup walnut milk. Just add fruit & top up with a bit of water as needed.

I make one I like at times with:
    1 cp blueberries
    1 cp spinach leaves
2 or 3 cp unsweet van almond milk (30 cal per cp)
    1/2 cp van Greek yogurt

It tastes good and you don’t even notice the greens.

I have a Ninja Nutri-blender Pro. It can do frozen carrots no problem but I don’t know if all of them can.

Anyway, I make an orange smoothie that is frozen, blanched carrots, frozen blanched sweet potatoes, frozen mango and frozen pineapple. I use vanilla protein powder and almond milk. The protein powder is sweet, so sometimes I use plain Greek yogurt to kind of cut the sweetness. I add pumpkin pie spice because I’m out of cinnamon.

Get a V8 splash drink. There are several flavors. We have the green one called Healthy Greens today. I base my smoothie off it. I add anything that’s on the label for example that one I used carrot, sweet potato, pineapple and spinach. If you use greek yogurt or frozen cauliflower it will be thicker.

You can put anything in it. I use frozen cauliflower a lot because it’s a neutral flavor and I love spinach so I toss it in, too.

I try to look up a recipe for them. I have beets coming today in my grocery order that I bought specifically to make a smoothie out of. I will let you know how it goes!

I have one in the morning which is 1 small banana, handful of fresh spinach, 1/3 c. frozen blueberries, 1.5 tbsp flax seeds, water. It has replaced my morning tea.

I would try some greens. We would use Kale and sometimes apples but you have to watch the sugar on some. Spinach, kale, carrots and blueberries are good ones for the right anti-oxidants.

Ocean Spray and some store brands have a 5-calorie cranberry juice blend that is good in smoothies, so I have used a half cup of that as the base. Then I add any of {1 tomato, 1 carrot (rough chopped), an ounce of kale, an ounce of spinach, 1 jalapeño, apple slices, orange/tangerine slices, blueberries, mixed berries} in any combination that sounds good. I think the flavor of broccoli might be okay but I'm not sure it would ever stop being gritty. Even carrots take a good deal of processing on my rather generic blender. Yogurt is a great addition because it adds protein. I think bananas are a little high in carbs for me so they are a rare treat even though they add that delicious creaminess. Likewise, I avoid regular juices because of the high sugar content. The whole fruits are more cooperative for my needs.

I don't want my smoothie to be more than 300 calories or 50 carbs. That's basically how I set limits on what to add. Sometimes my smoothie is a liquid salad. Sometimes it's fruitier. Both are good. Spinach makes it, well, green, and maybe an ugly green, but the flavor is still good.

I can contribute on this thread. My personal recipe for a nice fruit smoothie. I use 1/2 cup of mixed frozen berries, one banana and about a cup of milk. All mixed in a Magic Bullet. Enjoy!

I have one for breakfast every morning. 2 scoops protein powder, 2 tbsp ground flax, 1 c almond milk, 1 c frozen fruit and/or fresh fruit (whatever we happen to have on hand). Occasionally I add 1 tbsp peanut butter or almond butter if I'm extra hungry. It comes out to around 350-400 cals depending on what I put in it.

@dannytrees1 - I always drink my greens in my smoothies! I get more greens that way. Some mild greens for shakes with fruit are: baby spinach, baby kale, pea shoot greens …

This weeks blend: açaí, dragonfruit, & greens blend.

    Hope you are enjoying!

Has anyone tried adding Ideal Greens to their smoothies? It's a powdered supplement. I plan to try doing smoothies, but am on the fence about trying the Ideal Greens in it.

My plan otherwise is just frozen fruit and Light + Fit Yogurt for the extra protein.

1 scoop of protein powder (I actually use 1/2 scoop of whey and 1/2 scoop of plant based)
    1 tsp flax seed meal
    1 tbsp chia seeds
    1 1/2 cups frozen strawberries
    1/4 cup frozen banana
    1 cup fresh spinach
    1/2 cup milk
    1/2 cup almond milk

    SOOOOOOO good and filling!

@ehju0901 never tried that. I just use some fresh spinach and some seeds!

I always have a green smoothie to start my day:
    100g frozen mixed berries
150g of mixed greens (chard/baby kale/spinach that comes in a box I’m the produce section)
    1TBS of chia seeds
    A thumb of ginger
A cup of water or almond milk

It doesn’t look pretty, but it is an easy habit to get veg in at the start of the day. I usually have it and a couple of eggs for breakfast

I usually do frozen fruit, unsweetened almond milk, chai seeds, ground flax seed and various other ingredients I like to rotate.

This is one of my favorites:

    Chocolate peanut butter banana smoothie

    Chocolate almond milk
    1 frozen banana (sliced)
    1 T peanut butter
    1 scoop chocolate protein powder
    Chai seeds
    Milled flax seeds
