I am still trying to find my success... I lost nearly 20 lb. due to not eating much and stress over bills and job worries. Then gained a few back this week. Been exercising at the gym daily and trying to run regularly... as well as logging properly, so here goes:

1: logging my diary/food and keeping myself accountable - guilt when I slip up
2: the thrill of seeing those daily calories jump when I get a good workout
3: MY MFP friends!!!! They have been the best!

    1. Counting every calorie, every day
    2. Intermittent Fasting
    3. Jogging with goals (signed up for a couple 5K's now working towards a 10 mile at the end of October)

Bonus - taking before pictures in a bikini. Visually seeing how much bigger I was makes me so much more motivated to never go back.

    MFP friends & support
    Zumba, running & walking
Measuring myself along the way...seeing a drop in inches when the scale won't budge is a HUGE thing that kept me going
    Logging food & exercise
Taking pictures in the same bikini along the way to see progress.

    Every little bit helps.

    1. Educating myself on calorie intake and nutrition. I was DUMB when it came to food! Still am, sometimes...
    2. RUNNING!! I never liked it before. Now I hate missing a day!
    3. Breastfeeding  :blushing:

    1. Exercising so I can have more calories without guilt.
    2. Just doing things without complaining about how "difficult" it is. (example: cutting out sodas, dealing with PMS, etc.)
    3. Being honest with myself. (Booze wastes calories and makes me bloat. I don't get enough sleep and it's harder for me to feel in control the next day.)

You wrote "what's your poison" - which I thought would be negative... but everyone's writing what has worked for them... perhaps it's "what's your poison" in the sense that the bar tender asks what your favorite drink is, at the bar.... In that sense, the things that have worked for me are:

    1:Racquetball / elliptical
2: the focus that mfp provided, with respect to getting in tune with the "feel" of eating right. Greatly enhanced by the ever present phone app (android, in my case)

    As far as my "kryptonite":
1: High protein foods - that also have high fat content (esp: processed meats)
2: Salty snacks - especially fritos.
3: High fat dairy - especially cheese.
    4: Sloth.
