Two Zwift rides today: The Tour of Watopia ride I signed up for (had to go for the shorter length because of today's time constraints), and an impromptu meetup with a Canadian friend. That's the best thing about Zwift - making friends across the world and riding with them.

Double rides today because I'm trying to keep to a weird workout schedule.
Imperial got scrapped - had to drive the kid to school, so have to go pick the kid up in the afternoon. Not enough time for imperial, so did metric instead. Still a century, darn it.

3/15 25.82 miles A 90 minute Peloton ride with Matt Wilpers, plus 5 minute cool down. First day back at altitude (my Peloton in Colorado sits above 10,000 feet) and my heart rate was pretty high. I might try to sneak in another ride this evening, but I also need to run.

@Mari33a Triathlon training is alot. You try and hit each sport at least 3 times per week, plus weights. I did a half ironman about 20 years ago and my husband begged me to stop. I was always sick.

@SavageMrsMoose I might have to pick your brain a bit. I am planning on doing an Ironman in 5 years time (kind of a 50th birthday present to myself), and have a loose training regiment worked out that I'm hoping to be enough. Until the end of April, I'm actually 'training' for a Super Sprint distance (so far, absolutely no problems, but I realize that's a pretty low bar when you're already running 10ks and doing metric century rides for fun).
Speaking of which, ride 1 was the training ride - today was distance, so needed to finish 6.25 miles in less than 20 minutes. Did rather easily. Should've changed to the buffalo bike in Zwift just to make it more interesting.
Ride 2 was kind of a pseudo cooldown that became a silly exercise in leg murder by seeing if I could beat my PRs on all the sprints on the route I was on lol

@wendsg You would do amazing in an Ironman! The bike is definitely the most important leg of the race. I didn't even own a bike when I decided to try and do a half. The swim is what bothers most people, but if you look at the time difference between first and last place, its pretty small. You can make huge gains in the bike. My suggestion would be to do some shorter races as part of the training. There is a definite learning curve to speeding up in the transition area and figuring out what gear works best for you.
