Will I really stay the same weight if I up my calories?

Ive been averaging a total of 1000-1230 max with exercise factored in, and right now I'd like to maintain the weight I'm at. But 1700 calories seems like sooooo much, like I've had around 1550 or so and it seems like I've been stuffing myself. Can this be true? Or will I puff right back up in no time? My diary is public to friends, so if you want to add me to see it then go on right ahead.

Are you losing weight at 1230kcal? If you are losing at that intake, then up your caloric intake 15%, to about 1,400kcal/day. If you still lose weight after a week, up your caloric intake to 1,600kcal/day for another week. Adjust or maintain your caloric intake from there.0 -
super helpful, thank you! I need to get more consistent with weighing myself, i never do it consistently enough. This sunday I will start 100% empty stomach weigh-ins as early as I can muster at my school gym (I dont have my own scale).0

The healthier and fitter you become, the more efficient your body becomes. It won't use as much calories during the same workouts unless you up the intensity or the amount of weight or reps you're lifting. So you may have needed a 1,700kcal intake for maintenance at first, but now you're maintenance might be 1,600 kcal or even less. You just gotta slowly tweak your diet and see how your body responds to it. Don't change your diet to dramatically over a short period of time.0

One more vote for upping the calories slowly. That's what I did as I got close to my goal. I slowly bumped them up over the course of a couple weeks. I was netting 1230 initially now I'm at 2160 and my weight seems to be holding steady.0
