Having a bad week...

Last week, I was running an avg of 15 min at a time on the treadmill..(just started running). This week I can barely walk. I feel like I am pushing myself and can't run more then 3 min. I thought maybe it was the heat (still in the upper 80's here in FL - yea Fall!!). But its no hotter then it has been. Then I thought pms... because that makes me randomly fall asleep while doing homework at 9 pm... but I've been staying up til 11. Ok maybe I'm not eating enough, but I eat breakfast, lunch, dinner and a snack and I am stuffed...

So I am not sure. Anyone else have this problem? Any ideas what could be causing it? I am still getting out there, even if its not the stellar workout...and my weight is decreasing...

I just hope I get it back...I miss the adrenaline rush from running and accomplishing more then the day before! *sad*

just from a quick look at your diary, it looks like you might want to try eating more calories. Some days you are under or just around 1000 cals for the day. If you are running/working out, you probably want to eat more. Great work on the running! Keep it up!

I agree with the jchrizzie perspective. Make sure you're not doing too much, too soon, on the exercise. Best of luck to you.

Hi Toni. I've just started jogging too. I had the same problem and I talked to my friend who does long distance running and she says sometimes she struggles for what seems like no reason at all and then she finds out she was fighting off a bug. The school season has just started and there are a lot of bugs going around. The good news is exercise is supposed to boost your immune system so keep at it and don't give up. You'll do better next week.
