So, I am back. I joined MFP last summer (username: somethingvague) , was really enjoying it and lost 22 pounds in 5 weeks. I then slipped back into my old lifestyle, gained those 22 pounds back plus 32 more. (55 pounds gained in less than a year!). I was up to 322, the biggest I have ever been, and I was feeling extremely discouraged, and extremely sick, so I've finally started back up again. I've been eating healthy for about 2 weeks now, and have lost 14 pounds so far.

Excited to be back on this journey, and this website, however I have decided to use it just for the forums, and not to track my food. I know there are a lot of benefits to tracking your food intake, but last time I was so extremely obsessed with being perfect everyday, that as soon as I had one weekend of slip-ups, I decided I couldn't do it and quit. So to avoid the self-laid guilt trips, I am taking a more casual approach this time. Eat healthy and move. Don't worry so much about it. So far, it's working.

Anyways, feel free to add me as a friend, support is very much needed.

Cheers,
Steph

  • Welcome back, I think not tracking your food so much might be a good idea, I feel the same way when I do not have such a great day and I do obsess over what I am eating, stresses me out after a while and I eventually give up......good luck to you.

Welcome back; if tracking your food causes stress then it is a definite no...I track my food just to make sure I am staying on track otherwise I eat way more calories than I need in a day. Good luck with your journey!
