Ditching WW for MFP?

Hi all! I’ve been using Weight Watchers for the last 6 or so months (and have several times in the past) but I’m seeking a tool that makes more sense for the long term. I’ve only lost 20 lbs since January and I’m starting to think there might be a better way for me to reach my weight loss goals! Any ex (or current) WW members here that have seen success ditching the points system and moving to calorie tracking instead?

I've used both, and for me, they both work for weight loss if I follow the plan. However, with WW, I feel that they almost penalize you for healthy foods (like nuts, avocados) by giving them so many points. I like being able to see all of a food's macros so I can decide for myself if the food is healthy. I still have my WW membership (because I signed a 6 month deal), but I'm back to MFP for now.
The one thing I do like more about WW is having the weekly flex points to use for special occasions.
