What can I do to increase my metabolism? Or is it a case of putting up with things the way they are?

I heard from weight watchers that your metabolism is mostly based upon your lean muscle mass in your body. That the reason why your metobolism slows down when you get older is because you have less muscle from less activity. Muscular people are proven to burn calories faster than not-so-muscular people.
So maybe start doing some light strength training? :flowerforyou:0 -
A while back I read an article on MSN about interval training. It's supposed to boost your metabolism for 2 - 3 days after the work out. I started using the interval setting on the eliptical at my gym about a month ago and I am seeing really good results. I highly recommend it.
