Adding A Food To My Foods

I have a food that I eat frequently.. 1/2 generic avocado. It is recorded in my daily food diary. Can I simply, somehow, add that to My Foods? There ain't no cut-n-paste. So it seems I have to figure which avocado I've added to my daily or copy the numbers and create a new food. I have to be missing something. Oh, I'm an old man with few tech skills.. so any answer might have to be somewhat detailed. I thought this was going to the community.. but, I'm sure tech would be a mo'betta answer. Thank you

This is going to the community (MFP Mods drop in occasionally).

I only use the app, not sure how it works on desktop:

    - you can either get foods in My Foods by reporting them as incorrect/incomplete, correcting them (or not correcting anything if they're OK, I think that would work too) and checking the box 'save in My Foods'
    - or you can save foods as Meals, either single foods or groupings of foods (for example frequent breakfast foods together) and then choose that meal to add to your diary (and delete those items in your diary that you don't need)

Lietchi.. thanks. I probably have a number of foods I can delete.. however, that will change my history.. correct? Unless, if I understand you correctly.. I add that food to My Foods and then go back to the diary and then delete??? I may have to look harder to find that suggestion of "checking the box 'save in My Foods'. I'm not sure I've seen that.

I'm not sure what you mean when you talk about deleting foods.

The process I use to save to My Foods (Android app) is:
    1) find the entry you want
    2) 'report food' at the bottom of the entry
    3) I usually select wrong/missing nutrition information
    4) activate slider 'save to My Foods' right under the brand name
    5) correct what you want to correct
    6) tap on the check mark, top right hand corner to finish adding the (corrected) food to your diary.

    7) (optional) you're taken to the corrected food, which you can now enter in your diary, if you want.

Old post But hoping @Lietchi can help me…

I am trying to add foods to ‘my food’ manually so I know that the macros are correct bit it only allows me to add 7 foods… is there away a round that?

And to clarify i do not mean 7 meals in the food diary, I specifically mean creating a food under “my foods” tab

@lietchi never mind I figured out it needs to be done on the computer and not the app, but it will relfect on the app.. I have 8 foods total where it would only allow me create 7 on the app….
