Lipton Green Tea vs Diet Lipton Green Tea

So I've read a lot about the benefits of green tea when it comes to weight loss. I really like the taste of the Lipton citrus iced green tea. But I'm not sure if I should opt for the diet or not. On one hand, the regular is 80 cals per 8 oz, but the diet has artificial sweetener. What's better: cals from sugar or no cals from artificial sweeteners?

I purchase the green tea gel caps. I love the benefits of green tea but I mainly only drink it durning the colder months. Its much easier for me just to take the gel caps.0

Why don't you simply brew your own tea from either loose tea leaves or from a tea bag? Tea itself has no calories and you can control the sweetness by deciding your own sweetener and how much.0

Green Tea like that actually has much less health benifits than if you brewed it yourself.
So I agree, brew it at home and control the sweetness. I personally enjoy it with honey.0 -
Don't buy the prepackaged/pre-made green tea. Just buy green tea bags -- I just bought 100 bags for 99cents.
Far healthier and cheaper to make it at home. (Then, you can just sweeten it with Stevia or a bit of honey, and not have to worry about choosing the lesser of two evils)0 -

I also agree with this. When I do drink green tea I don't purchase the pre packaged I use the tea bags. Its good with honey.0 -

I take green tea extract capsules daily because I'm not addicted to drinking green tea When I do drink it, I brew it myself. I would not recommend drinking any of the pre-brewed varieties.0

As everybody has said...
I agree with home brewing. You can get much more bang for your buck by doing it yourself and you can control your calories. My tea is about 5 calories per 8 oz and I know what is in it. It make take a couple cups to get it how you like it but then you can do it in no time flat! I put a bit of hot water to get it going faster and then add ice if I am in the mood for iced tea.0 -
NO artificial sweeteners. They can do very nasty things to your body. I would suggest making your own green tea with some lemon or orange squeezed in it. You can add some stevia to sweeten it if you don't like it without sweetener. The Mr. Coffee iced tea makers make it a breeze!0

Try making your own... Lipton has a green tea with orange and passion fruit in it that I don't need to add sweetner to it. Constant Comment also has a green tea that I don't add sweetner. Plain green tea I do have to add something. I also found that if you only let the tea steep for 2-3 minutes it doesn't get that bitter taste.0

pure green tea with a little of lemon juice is the best way to go0
