    Hi Paris
Add me as friend so we can chat easier I think. Firstly, weight loss depends on several factors. Also have you been tracking calories for over 3 weeks? The other thing is, find out the reason for why and when you snack, is it because you are stressed, or because you feel worried and eat because you are anxious. Also, take a note of how much sugar you take in. All the best!

Paris, google "insulin resistance". A cracker or two (or any processed carbohydrate food) is all it takes for some people to experience strong cravings for more carby snacks. It is very difficult to tell the difference between these cravings and real hunger. Not all foods are the same. Those processed carbs are quickly turned into glucose (blood sugar) that play havoc with insulin levels - even if you are not prediabetic.

First, figure out why you are compelled to snack. What triggers the urge and how to stay away from those triggers. Elevated LDL levels will usually take care of themselves once your insulin levels stop the crazy spiking and crashing.

Crackers would definitely trigger my hunger. I rarely have them as a snack, and not without cheese and meat so I'm getting protein as well. If I had normal sized meals I would not snack, but I eat small meals plus snacks.

I make sure my snacks have protein. Common snacks for me are cottage cheese and fruit, or Greek yogurt and fruit.

In addition to making sure I hit my protein goal each day, I also plan to exceed my fiber goal every day. I do that with fruit, veggies, and chia seeds.

Consider asking your doctor to refer you to a dietitian.
