Just downloaded the couch to 5k app for my phone. Looking forward to some guided, attainable direction on getting fit enough to run a 5k.

Any input on helping me reach this goal is appreciated :)....off to look for a 5K run in my area that will coincide with this 9 week goal.

Stick to the program. Don't try to do more than the program.

I'm starting Week 9 this week and I love it!

Excellent advice that I wish I thought about or knew prior to trying. I picked up tennis lessons and started 30 Day Shred at the same time as C25K and overloaded myself. I ended up with an injury. While some people can do it, I don't think I was ready for that much. C25K is AWESOME and I look forward to picking it back up in a month or so.

    Best wishes! :flowerforyou:

I did the program over the course of 10 weeks with a group. Loved it. Just need to stick to it. I am about to run my 2nd 5K next weekend.

Good advice here! I too want to give it a whirl. Tried a couple times, but I just can't get into it. Maybe I will attempt it again. Add me if you'd like & maybe we can help each other!

So true....if you can't move on to the next week, just repeat the week you are on. Week 4 was a big challenge for me, so I repeated week 3 until I could master it. You are going to love this program!!!

Enjoy it!!! Keep in mind that you don't have to finish it nine weeks, repeat days or weeks if needed. Also you don't have to run at a set speed, slow your pace if you need to, object is to be able to run 30 minutes at a time, you can always work on increasing your speed later :)
