What’s the average age here?

I was on here when I was 12, but ended up using alternatives for tracking calories eventually. Now I’m 18 and back with a new account, and I feel like this is a bit of an old school app. I want to find people around my age to talk to but I don’t know how realistic that is.

Sometimes "old school" is the BEST school...

How would any of us know the average age here, I wonder?

Different people of all ages post.

I've been here for a few years, too, about the same timespan as your 12 to 18, but active the whole time. From reading posts over that time, it seems to me that the issues and challenges with either of managing weight or improving fitness are pretty similar, whether we're age 20 or age 60.

I get that people often like to bond with same-agers, but now that you're entering adulthood, maybe there are some reasons to start seeing what you have in common with other adults (of many ages), in addition to socializing with your age cohort?

Just a thought. I hope you'll hear from some others your age here, because it's an age I am not.

Best wishes with your goals, whatever they may be!

I totally get your point, but I’ve actually spent most of my adolescence with much older adults, and never had really had relationships with people my own age. So I’ve been trying to change that, and find people I actually have common interests with. But I definitely don’t mind continuing to talk with older adults too! I hope it didn’t come off that way
