2nd chance at life

Hello everyone,

I'm 37 years old, type II diabetic with a family history of heart disease. I've used this app before in the past with great results but have dropped the ball. I gained all the weight back, fell into a deep depression and just gave up.

In October I had a heart attack. My LAD was 100% blocked and I was rushed to have emergency surgery to save my life. I hadn't realized until after the fact that this particular heart attack is often fatal. It is nicknamed the Widowmaker as the survival rate is less than 25%. This knowledge has opened my eyes and given me a new motivation to do and be better.

I've lost 30 pounds so far and my diabetes is controlled and I'm ready to continue this journey. I stumble sometimes and make mistakes but I'm dedicated to being worthy of this life I was given. My body has been an absolute champ through my life and I want to spend the rest of it helping it as best I can.

I’m a little bit older than you, but had OHS in 2019. Pacemaker to boot. Just now getting back into the swing of things. Glad to see some other OHS peeps here and glad you’re doing well. Best wishes on your fitness journey.
