Question re: supplements

I've tried several different supplements. Most have had one thing in common, a "burning" side effect, and no it's not something which can be resolved with antacid. One supplement recommended by a buddy did work but I found out that supposedly after the introductory order the quality of the products isn't the same. I'm looking for recommendations for a supplement taken in the morning to help with energy, concentration/focus, and of course some weight loss. And of course the supplement should be one that doesn't cause, shall we say, ring sting. I'm trying to avoid ones that say they use pepper as a "stimulant". From my experience that's not a thermogenic, it's a pain.. well, the opposite of north.

Honestly, most any supplement that claims to help with concentration or focus is a load of bull and waste of money. But, the main thing that's going to have that effect is caffeine... which you can get effectively from coffee, tea, or energy drinks.5 -
There's one I use and some other pals of mine have tried and says it DOES increase focus, however you'd have to see if you have a reaction to ephedra. It does increase your heart rate and you will have some strong energy that may not wind down for 5 hours. Message me if you want to know the brand. You can buy it OTC or online.

Anything for weight loss that is both legal and OTC is ineffective.
How do I know this? I used to work for a company that sold every diet supplement touted by Dr. Oz.7 -
I used to use ephedra for energy. Unfortunately it was banned for sale in the US quite a while ago, probably because it worked. There's one I use and some other pals of mine have tried and says it DOES increase focus, however you'd have to see if you have a reaction to ephedra. I was also looking at caffeine supplements. When I was in the Army I used to make what I called Airborne GoJuice, 2xMRE coffees, 2xVivarin, sometimes 1MRE cocoa. THAT kept us going! Unfortunately I can't find any without added carcinogens, i.e. red 20/40, yellow 5, etc..sollyn23l2 wrote: »frank_steinn wrote: »I've tried several different supplements. It's legal again. You can get it online or at Nutrition shops that sell brands that have it in them.frank_steinn wrote: »

I just did a search for "caffeine supplement" on Amazon. I saw some that were just encapsulated caffeine. So, if you haven't, check Amazon. That being said, be careful with how much you take, as caffeine in powder form can be more easily overdosed on that coffee.2 -
Yes, my mom used to get caffeine supplements from Amazon that were dye free.1

Good nutrition, regular sleep cycle, adequate sleep, good stress management, low levels of anxiety, and freedom from depression will help your energy and focus. Otherwise there is caffeine which is of questionable benefit in the long run, and a bunch of worthless crap that is marketed with lies and not worth anything. For fat burning - it is eat less, exercise more.1
