Just wanted to say hang in there you will be rewarded for your efforts. I have lost in total 6 stone 2lbs with about another 7 stone to go. For the past couple of weeks weigh ins I have had a maintain and a 1lb loss. I'm used to having a week with a maintain then followed by 2-3 good losses so when I got the maintain I thought no it's okay keep going next week I will be rewarded and I had done low carb and been really on it so was expecting a few pounds at least. Anyway this week when I weighed I lost 4lbs. I was so chuffed. I wish weight loss was linear and you could guarantee that if you stick to it you loose 2lbs without fail each week but it's very often not the case. I walk my dog everyday (about 45 minutes) so I'm getting my 10,000 steps in but haven't done any heart pumping exercise until Friday night when I did a clubbercise class - it was brilliant didn't feel like I was exercising just dancing and having fun to the music - I'm sure that helped with my weight loss this week so I will definitely be continuing with that!

I came to post something very similar!! Weight loss is definitely NOT linear by any means and that can be SO frustrating and defeating. Patience is really the key. And the knowledge/understanding that your weight is going to fluctuate (more so if you're female and still menstruate) and that's just part of the journey. I can't emphasize enough that staying the course is how the "game" is won.5

I try and think of it as when the successes come, it's a bit of a fluke! I look at the slow moments and plateaus as the REAL moments when the fat is coming off. My body is readjusting and I'm going to be patient with that because I'm sure my mind will triumph those low moments. I look at it as being a little pleased is soooo much better than being disappointed in myself. You've got this! Believe you can and you really will! Stay the course.2
