anyone else struggling with an ED here?

Hi does anyone else here have an ED? It'd be cool to have people to talk to that do have weight to lose but are also trying to overcome EDNOS/bulimia/BED or something like that and maybe want someone to talk to too who's trying to learn how to lose it healthily. I'm technically bulimic but struggle with just binging alone at times RIP.

Welcome @wretchedassghoul and @Dtrifunovic65! I was bulimic for about ten years. My ED started with food restriction and obsessive exercising and then progressed to bulimia. I don't know that it's accurate to call me "recovered," as I never went through any treatment but there did come a point where it was physically too painful to do anymore so I stopped. I have Barrett's Esophagus now.

I stopped about 13 years ago and while I don't purge anymore, I still need to be very careful of my behaviors now that I'm losing weight. For me it seems there is a very fine line between counting calories in a healthy way and becoming obsessive with restricting food and I've had to check myself. I'm sure it's a struggle I'll always have.

While I was bulimic, I kept it secret. I'm open about my past now because I want other people who might be struggling to know they're not alone and there's always help and there's always hope.
