Hello my name is Laura. I'm 43. I've been married to my Best Friend and Soulmate Quint for 20 years. In 2005, Our Daughter Anna Grace was born. In 2007, our Son Jacob was born. I've been overweight since High School.

In May 2009, we were in a car accident. We were all fine with just a few bruises or so we thought. In December 2009, I started having severe pain in both sides of my jaw, upper back, both shoulders, lower back, hips, thighs, knees, all over basically. I went to the doctor and I was tested for Lyme Disease, Lupus and every kind of Arthritis known to man. Finally I was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia. In 2013, I started having excruciating pain in my lower back. I started not being able to walk or stand but for 5 to 10 minutes at a time. I was diagnosed with Degenerative Disc Disease. In 2014, I was diagnosed with Severe Sleep Apnea and Major Depressive Disorder.

At my heaviest last year I was 399. I'm currently 356.2. My doctor put my on Ozempic for my diabetes, it also helps with weight loss. I also started counting calories. My orthopedic doctor said I'll need a knee replacement in the next year or two but I have to lose a lot of weight first. I've decided to go to a Weight loss seminar on August 15th. I've decided to have bariatric surgery, but in the meantime I'm trying to lose as much weight as I can.

Oh my goodness! You are a very strong woman. I have fibro, so I can empathize a little, but not much. I'm pulling for you. I know losing weight will help. I hope you're getting help with the other things. Anything I can do to help?

Thank you for the kind words. I really appreciate it. I certainly don't feel like a strong woman but I try to be. Fibro is an awful thing to have but I'm trying not to let it rule my life. Yes I'm getting help with everything. My doctor is amazing and very supportive.
