I'm 179 I want to lose 16 more pounds how can I lose that 16 pounds and I want to maintain after I lose it how can I maintain 163 lb

    Go into the "Goals" section of the app, type in your starting weight, your goal weight, and your weekly goal for weight loss (with only 16 lbs to lose I would NOT choose anything more than 1 lb of loss per week), and your activity level. MFP will give you a daily goal of how many calories to eat. It's that easy.

    Now, as far as logging, weigh and track EVERYTHING you put in your mouth. Don't guess, estimate, or eyeball it. Weigh and measure all of it. Otherwise you will DRASTICALLY underestimate how much you are putting in your body.

    Good luck! Once you get there, maintenance is even harder for some folks. That's a whole other thread... ;)
